- Automatic Call Distribution (ACD)
Calls are queued to wait for the next available agent. Incoming calls
are distributed evenly, maximizing productivity, and inbound calls are handled
orderly and efficiently.
- Automated Attendant
24-hour coverage answering incoming calls and directing them with a
menu of dialing options - no need to worry about breaks, lunch, and after hour
coverage.
- Voice Mail Integration
Allows callers to leave detailed messages for a specific employee and
feel their needs are being addressed now, rather than neglected until they
call back.
- Direct Inward Dialing (DID) - DK40i only
Routes incoming calls directly to specific stations without going
through the answering position.
- Call Forward External
Permits incoming calls to be routed to an outside telephone number.
Allows station users to cancel or change the destination of forwarded CO line
calls from outside the office.
- Multiple Directory Numbers
Station extension numbers can appear on multiple telephones and
individual telephones can have multiple station extension numbers, maximizing
call coverage flexibility.
- Dialed Number Identification Service (DNIS) - DK40i
only
Routes incoming calls exactly where you want them to go according to
the number dialed, and identifies what the call is about with LCD display
information.
- Caller ID
Can display the name, telephone number, and even customer profile (with
CTI applications) of who is calling you to enhance productivity and customer
service.
- Off-Hook Call Announce
Ensures that users can get important telephone calls by enabling a
station to speak to another busy station user. Call announcements can go
through the handset or the telephone speaker.

- Remote Branch Office Extensions
The MCK EXTender products enable groups of remote workers to have
digital telephone extensions from your main location's Strata DK telephone
system, with the same functionality as your main office system.
- Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) - (DK40i only)
Ideal for businesses with multiple offices. By routing office-to-office
calls over the Internet or your private intranet, you bypass long-distance
toll charges, saving substantial cost. You'll also improve call center
effectiveness and customer service.
- Tie Lines (DK40i only)
Connect a DK40i to another telephone system in a private communications
network.
- Direct Inward System Access (DISA)
Saves money by allowing employees to use the company's calling network
even when they are not in the office. Protected by security code.
Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Features
(DK40i only)
- Basic Rate Interface (BRI)
Station side connection provides a low cost ISDN solution enabling you
to connect devices such as a PC, LAN bridge or router, Internet access device,
video conference terminal, group IV fax, ISDN telephone, or other devices that
benefit from an all digital transmission link. Trunk side connection enables
BRI lines to be used by all telephones for incoming and outgoing calls
(requires external NT-1 Terminal Adapter).
- Primary Rate Interface (PRI)
PRI is used to send and receive voice and/or data calls over the same
network. The call-by-call feature saves money by allocating PRI channels on
demand for usage of services such as DID, Tie, FX, WATS, 800, etc.
- Cost Saving Applications
PRI can save money by enabling the call-by-call use of the channels on
the PRI link for a variety of services on demand. BRI provides a low cost
solution for high speed LAN and Internet access, plus video conferencing
applications. With its superior speed and faster call setup, ISDN helps you
maximize productivity.
Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)
- Industry Standard CTI
Microsoft TAPI has become the industry standard method of Computer
Telephony Integration. Strata DK systems fully support TAPI, making your
Strata DK system an excellent CTI partner.
- Caller ID Applications
The most popular CTI applications involve Caller ID calls and automatic
database lookup. When the phone rings, the telephone's LCD displays the
caller's telephone number, and the TAPI PC application displays the caller's
file. This saves time and enables you to provide better service to callers.
- Data Switching
This cost-saving feature permits your PC and your telephone to
simultaneously share existing wiring for voice and data calls, reducing the
cost of additional interoffice networks and extra wiring.
Features That Provide Efficient System Administration
- Automatic Station Relocation
Enables a telephone to automatically maintain its particular
characteristics when it is moved from one location to another, all without
reprogramming.
- Easy System Programming
Optional PC software makes system programming and administration easier
