NEC - EliteMail VMS/FMS

EliteMail VMS/FMS for IPK   EliteMail VP and CTI for IPK

Digital Voice Mail for the Electra Elite® IPK, the EliteMail VMS(2)/(4)/(8)-U20 ETU and FMS(2)/(4)-U20 ETU provide: Digital Voice Mail Service, Automated Attendant (AA), Audiotext, Fax Detection, Message Notification, Live Monitor, Live Record, Centrex Transfer and Optional Multilingual Prompts. The VMS(2)/(4)/(8)-U20 ETU is a complete voice mail application (EliteMail VMS) with two, four or eight (with DSP card) ports built on a single ETU (Electronic Telephone Unit). The FMS(2)/(4)/(8)-U20 ETU is a complete voice mail application (EliteMail Limited) with two, four, or eight ports built on a single ETU. This method has advantages that include tighter application integration and built-in battery backup for the complete system.

ELITEMAIL FMS/VMS FEATURES

Voice Mail Service - Voice Mail allows a caller to leave a recorded message in their voice and exact words for another individual.

Automated Attendant - The Automated Attendant answers a call, determines the extension and transfers the call to that extension.

Audiotext - Audiotext provides around the clock information and allows an organization to present it with natural voice, music or whatever they want callers to hear.

Fax Detect Routing and Notification - Incoming faxes are detected and automatically delivered to a fax machine. When using the fax machine handset, the fax originator can record a voice message that can be sent to the attendant.

Live Monitor - Electra Elite IPK Multiline Terminal users can listen to voice mail messages as the message is being recorded by EliteMail VMS. The Live Monitoring feature can be password protected and can be used in automatic or manual mode. When Live Monitoring is in use, the voice mail audio is played from the Multiline Terminal speaker. The terminal user can pick up the handset and answer the call anytime during the recording. Automatic Live Monitoring is used to continually monitor callers that have gone to voicemail and are now leaving a message. Manual Live Monitoring allows you to turn the feature off when you leave your desk or at your leisure. This features is used by multitasking voice mail users to screen message importance during other meetings. System Software S3000 or higher and Q3XX EliteMail software are required.

Quick Transfer to Voice Mail - Quick transfer to voice mail is an enhancement to the normal voice mail integration. It provides an abridged method of getting calls to a station voice mailbox without waiting for the station to answer, talk to the caller again or wait for the call forward-no answer timer. This feature is controlled completely by the originating station user. When the station transfers the call to another station, dialing '7' can evoke quick transfer. This is a fine application for station users that don't normally use call forwarding to voice mail, or when a transferring station does not intend for an external caller to wait for the call forward no answer timer to expire. This method offers an efficient way of getting to a station voice mailbox without waiting for a timer to expire or when call forwarding is not set.

Centrex Transfer by Digital Voice Mail Port - A Digital Voice Mail Centrex Transfer feature allows the Single Line Telephone (SLT) Hookflash dial access code to be accessed by a Digital Voice Mail (DVM) port to send a Hookflash to the outside network.

Voice Mail Caller ID/Return - FMS/VMS can store Caller ID information when it receives incoming calls. When a message is played, the Caller ID number will be indicated on the telephone display. From a remote site, users can listen to the Caller ID number. It alleviates the hassle of repeatedly listening to the message to get the phone number. This feature enables calls to be returned even when the caller does not leave a callback number, does not speak clearly or speaks too quickly for the number to be understood. In addition, you may choose to return that call immediately. After using the caller ID number to return the call, you will be placed back in your voice mail box where you left off. This allows you to return all desired messages with one call to your voice mailbox instead of placing numerous, individual calls.

Live Record - Live Record simplifies message and note taking by permitting all or a portion of the conversation in progress to be recorded. Automatic live recording is used to continually record outside conversations. Manual live recording allows you to turn the feature on and off at your discrepancy per call. Each recording can be redirected to another box user for review. This feature is used frequently by lawyers and telemarketers for call quality control and training.

If a Multiline Terminal user completes Live Record without specifying a mailbox where the conversation should be stored and Automatic Recall is NOT assigned in Digital Voice Mail programming, the conversation is stored in the mailbox assigned to the Multiline Terminal. When a Multiline Terminal user completes Live Record without specifying a mailbox where the conversation should be stored and Automatic Recall IS assigned in Digital Voice Mail programming, the conversation is stored in the mailbox assigned to the Multiline Terminal and the system recalls the Multiline Terminal and plays the recorded conversation.

Live Record can be used only from Multiline Terminals.

Individual trunks must be assigned for the Live Record feature to operate.

An alert tone is provided for Live Record. The alert tone is heard by both the outside party and the Multiline Terminal user when the recording starts or at specified intervals during recording. The interval between alert tones is assigned in the Digital Voice Mail System Programming. The tone lasts for 0.5 seconds. The system can also be programmed so that an alert tone is not provided.

Up to seven feature keys can be programmed for use with Live Record. These feature keys can be assigned to Feature Access keys, One-Touch keys or Direct Station Select (DSS) keys (on a DSS/BLF console). If the feature keys are assigned to One-Touch keys, no LED indications are provided.

The following feature keys can be programmed:
  • Record Key -- Use this key to manually start Live Record. The associated LED flashes red while recording. The associated LED goes off when recording ends or a pause occurs and flashes green when a Live Record message is addressed.
  • Pause Key -- Use this key to pause and restart Live Record. The associated LED flashes green when recording has paused.
  • Erase Key -- Use this key to erase the Live Record conversations. After the Erase key is pressed, the Voice Mail port remains off-hook until the call is terminated.
  • End Key -- Use this key to end the Live Record. The conversation can continue without being recorded.
  • Rerecord Key -- Use this key to erase a recorded conversation while recording is in progress and restart a new recording.
  • Urgent Page Key -- Use this key to change the Live Record assignment from dial out to pager. (Message Notification to Pager Assignment turns ON/OFF when this key is pressed while recording.)
  • Address Key -- Use this key to confirm Live Record, erase Live Record, change the mailbox number where Live Record is stored or add a recorded prelude to a recorded conversation.
